ABOUT THE WOOLY HAIR PONY TAILS

A Learning Activity for Beginners and is a handmade pony made with wool for inspiring little hairdressers wanting to learn how to do all kinds of plaits.

Personally i found it much easier to learn using wool, than hair, especially in the very beginning, as i didn't know how to manage hair. Learning on wool, you can get used to the motion of which section to put where, then once you have mastered that you can practice on real hair.

The Wooly Hair Pony Tail

3 STRAND PLAIT | INSIDE OUT PLAIT

Three different colours so you can easily identify each section. Can also be used for 2 different plaits, normal plait + inside out plait.

Once you feel confident enough you can practice plaiting each colour individually.

FISH TAIL PLAIT

Two different colours to help clearly see where you're up to and see if your sections are muddled. When you have mastered the technique, you can practice on just one colour at a time.

4 STRAND PLAIT

Four different colours to help you know what sections are where. There are many ways to do a Four Strand Plait, so you can learn many ways. As there are four pieces to this plait, once mastered it i would suggest moving on to our Multi Colour Pony Tail or One Colour Pony Tail so there is enough strands to practice on.

5 STRAND PLAIT

Five different colours so you know exactly where each section is meant to be. There are also many ways to do this plait to challenge yourself.

After mastering this plait your next challenge would be using our Multi Colour Pony Tail or One Colour Pony Tail.

This Pony Tail is for if you've mastered all the other plaits and now want to challenge yourself more. Also if you already know how to plait and want to fine tune your technique and motion of the plait, then this is for you. Available in Multi Colour or One Colour.
