Hello + welcome to THC

Firstly I'd just like to take a moment to THANK-YOU for being here when our time is precious! My name is Belinda Nunn, founder + creative director of The Hairdresser’s Classroom THC and i might add the only employee so i'm also the admin person, marketing + sales person, organisation person, ordering of supplies + class educator + have many more duties! Anyway let’s get started

Story

Get to Know Us

A little background on how The Hairdresser’s Classroom (THC) came about, I have been in the Hairdressing Industry for over 20+ years and early on i noticed two things:

1 - how we had to travel to Melbourne for all hairdressing education

2 - how some people would love to learn how to do their own hair easier with tips and tricks + guidance on how + where to place their hands or body position. And just help with getting their hair to sit better, whether it be their own hair or their kids hair.

After a few years of self doubt and breaking through some limiting beliefs (oh and COVID, say no more), and a feeling of wanting more out of my career, to help others, a side step if you will, I'm here to give it a go and see if we can help you achieve some hair goals!

I'm not a hairdresser part
We plan to offer a variety of hair classes such as:

Small Group Classes

All hair classes are small, max 4 people.

Our thinking is that with a small group,

we can get around to help and attend everyone better since there is currently only one educator

1:1 Sessions

Like to learn on your own?

No problem, we offer 1:1 lessons too,

for nearly all our classes!

All group classes + 1:1 lessons are 60mins

Parent + Daughter Classes

Daddy + Daughter and Mummy + Daughter Classes are two different Classes,

teaching you how to do some simple styles on your daughter's hair while spending some time together!

Available in group or 1:1

Ladies from 18+

Learning how to do some simply styles, blow waving, finger drying or

just styling it, all on your own hair.

We offer two classes,

one for medium to long hair +

another for short to medium hair.

Available in a group or 1:1

Late Primary School
into Year 7 or 8

Grade 5 or 6 students going into

year 7 or 8, depending on age.

For students who are wanting to learn some new hairstyles for high school,

doing their own hair.

No hot tools will be used.

Available in a group or 1:1

(parents are welcome to stay so they can help at home if needed, but just watch + listen in class)

Primary School Grade 4

Need some help teaching your daughter how to start to manage her own hair +

help you out in the mornings?

Then this class is for her, we'll help with some basics!

Available in a group

Date Night

Want some help styling your hair for a Date Night, Brunch or a Day Out Adventuring with friends,

learn some cool + and quick do's,

some with the hot tools + some not.

Available in a group or 1:1

Open Class

So many options for this class!

It's time away from your busy life +

kids to practice anything you want to practice or need help on.

The Educator will be in the room,

not to teach an actual class but to just be there, answer any questions +

watch while you have a go.

Remember this is not a 1:1 lesson.

We will have some tools for you to use (limited amount available),

however you can bring your own.

Even if you are an apprentice or

fully qualified + just need somewhere else to go, you are most welcome,

(terms + conditions apply)

Or you might have a secret love of doing hair styles but work in a different field.

Doesn’t include any chemical services.

Available in a group class of 4 students.

Team or Friends Class

Want something different to do with friends or your workplace team?

That's right, we've designed some fun classes around doing hairstyles on mannequin heads

Available in a group of 4 at the moment.

One Off Classes

These classes can be more information based or hands on.

We have some ideas, however if you have a suggestion, feel free to DM us on our socials or email, we'd love to hear them!

Online or in-person

4 Week Block
or 1 or 2 Classes

Whilst we recommend you commit to a 4 week block, we also understand that might not be possible, so we are giving you the option. Attending for the 4 weeks will help you feel comfortable + confident in doing the styles and asking questions to

help you at home and beyond.

IN EACH CLASS YOU'LL LEARN

How to do some kick ass hair styles on your own hair
Help you pick 3 hairstyles you would like to learn, focusing on 1 each session. (we recommend a 4 week block so you can learn a few styles). All except for our parent + daughter classes.
In our Parent + Daughter and some other Classes we will follow set hair styles
